The Art of Wellbeing in the Heart of Bath: The New SPA Area at the Francis Hotel by KLAFS

In the heart of Bath, the historic British spa destination, the new wellness area at the Francis Hotel has been designed by KLAFS, an international leader in high end saunas and hydrotherapy facilities.

Set within an elegant complex of Georgian period buildings overlooking Queen Square, the project has renewed the hotel’s wellness offering through a carefully balanced, precise and highly sensory layout that engages seamlessly with the history of the location.

The area is conceived as a fluid and private journey, where the sequence of treatments follows the natural dynamics of thermal contrast.

Each environment is designed to guide guests through alternating phases of heat, steam and carefully calibrated water experiences, helping to release physical tension and restore vital energy.

Steam Rituals and Hydrotherapy Contrasts

One of the highlights is the exclusive ESPURO Cabin, an immersive sensory experience combining hot steam, cleansing foam rituals and mud or Rasul treatments. In this environment, the combined action of humidity and natural active ingredients envelops the body, promoting deep purification of the tissues and preparing the skin for subsequent treatments.

Completing the hydrotherapy sequence is Sensus, the Experience Shower by Aquaform, integrated into the SPA environment. Sensus manages the thermal contrast phase, a crucial element in balancing the benefits of steam. Through the precise modulation of water jets at different temperatures, chromatic sequences and diffused aromatic notes, Aquaform technology transforms the water experience into a moment of profound regeneration.

From the enveloping KLAFS experience of the ESPURO® Cabin to the precision of Aquaform’s Sensus water experiences, the Francis Hotel Bath offers an ideal integration of wellness engineering and interior design, creating an authentic and contemporary approach to comfort.
