The Parco dei Principi Hotel in Lecce welcomes guests with rationalist architecture, defined by geometric volumes and a soft, diffused light that characterizes the common areas and suites. Yet the heart of the project lies on the lower level, where the external rigor gives way to a more intimate, tactile dimension: the Filia Regis SPA.
A Contemporary Underground Retreat
Designed by architect Davide Giannuzzi, the SPA is conceived as a contemporary underground space. The design departs from the sunlit upper floors to embrace an aesthetic of carefully crafted shadows and natural materials. Stone, mosaics, and dark surfaces create an environment where the eyes can rest, allowing the sense of well-being to be guided by touch and the reflection of water.
Lighting is integrated into the structures, never direct, intended to enhance the vapors and textures of the walls, turning each pool into an architectural volume seemingly carved from the ground.

At the heart of the experience is the SPA journey, unfolding through a sequence of humid environments and relaxation areas designed to gradually awaken the senses. Key features include:
The “SPA within the SPA”: a private experience
One of Filia Regis’ most distinctive features is its private indoor SPA, designed for exclusive and highly personalized use. This space includes an aromatic sauna, steam bath, heated pool, hydro-massage, cervical waterfall, and couple’s massage area, all set in an environment crafted to ensure absolute privacy and an intimate atmosphere.
The setting, blending contemporary elegance with natural stone textures, creates a timeless dimension, perfectly in tune with the experiential concept of the facility.
Technology and Matter: The Aquaform Experience
The excellence of Filia Regis SPA comes from the synergy between Giannuzzi’s spatial vision and the engineering of Aquaform systems, transforming water into a dynamic and structural element.
For Filia Regis, the selected systems are Nadir, Sensus, and Vitalis.
Nadir turns water into a gentle caress, a horizontal flow that glides over the body like a soft rain, enveloping every muscle and releasing tension. Its two harmoniously calibrated jets allow the experience to be tailored, making each treatment unique and deeply rejuvenating. With a simple touch on the display, the flow adapts to the guest, guiding body and mind on a wellness journey that leaves a sense of lightness and inner peace.
Inside the light cube, the special emotional shower cabin, Sensus offers “warm rain” and “cold mist” scenarios, complemented by two dynamic programs that allow the experience to be personalized according to mood and desired goals.
Finally, the Vitalis Kneipp path replaces traditional hot and cold water basins with jets, providing a more hygienic experience while saving water and energy, and reducing maintenance requirements.
